Finally Microsoft released the 9th Internet Explorer after a huge testing session. They introduced the new browser at a launch event at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. Dean Hachamovitch, the corporate vice president of Internet Explorer, told the story of how Microsoft built IE9 from scratch. Its beta version was launched a year back and they get positive reviews from different corners. This led them last month to unveil the IE9 release candidate. According to some statistical calculations the IE9 beta and release code downloaded more than 40 million times.
We cannot say that it’s just and upgrading to its predecessor IE8. Microsoft rebuild it and gave it instincts like high speed, graphics improvements, UI improvements, Hachamovitch touted its advanced support for HTML5, accelerated hardware and accelerated the adherence to web standards. They tried to rebuild its every corner. They claim for providing it with security features as well by including tracking protection against malwares.
