Adobe has released new Flash software version 10.2, which is intended to help tablets and mobile phones that use the Google Android operating system 2.2 or newer. Flash 10.2 is a pretty helpful first Flash for Android 3.0 tablets, giving performance enhancements and better soft keyboard support to phones. Adobe said that the new update will offer better web browser functionality with websites that use Adobe Flash. The new version will also correct a critical Flash security flaw for these mobile devices.
The usual experience about the Flash is that it’s not always kind to mobile batteries, but in case you need a bit Flash to make a web page work, Flash 10.2 is worth having on your phone. Flash still loads objects as a kind of pop-up on Android 2.2 and 2.3 phones, and maybe that’s a necessity for a smaller screen. On Android 3.0, Flash objects look and work like they’re supposed to, laid into the page and accepting user interactions.
Adobe on their official website says:
“Flash Player 10.2 is optimized for high performance on mobile screens and is designed to take advantage of native device capabilities—including a new video hardware acceleration model that enables dramatically enhanced video playback—enabling richer and more immersive user experiences.”
