There is no denying the power of traditional television when it comes to reaching an audience. Major television networks and cable providers have a captive audience through their cable subscriptions, making them extremely effective at reaching people at any given time of the day. They are also some of the cheapest advertising options around, meaning if you’re looking to get your brand noticed in an economical way, traditional TV is probably your best bet.
With that being said, there are plenty of other ways to reach your audience besides just relying on these media giants. Jen, one of our regular contributors for visual information graphics recently shared this piece with us. Traditional TV has been around for more than 80 years but it seems like it has reached its peak just recently — in other words, there is no going back from here! It is struggling to keep up with technology and keep pace with the changing demands of viewers anymore. You see, television is quickly becoming irrelevant thanks to newer digital media sources such as computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, video games consoles etc.
