With the rumors about the new Android platform i.e. Gingerbread or 2.3 or maybe 3.0, a number of manufacturers have leaked number of devices. Acer one of them, recently announced tablets and a smartphone running Google’s Android to be launched in April 2011.
The tablets and phone are unnamed yet but believed to come in 7 inch and 10.1 inch sizes. Both having a screen resolution of 1280 x 800, supporting full 1080p HDMI. 10.1 inch tablet also has cameras, both front and back (5MP).
On the other hand, the smartphone announced is a big 4.8 inch device. It supports 1024 x 480 resolution, 8MP camera with LED flash, running on 1GHz snapdragon processor and gyroscope / accelerometer.
Acer hasn’t confirmed in the press release made, that which version of Android are these devices going to run on! Its most likely that these devices would run on Gingerbread! Let’s see what comes in first!
