The WT generation uses their smart devices for a lot of video entertainment whether it be at home or on their commutes. That said, we know exactly how annoying it is to convert videos to iOS playable .mp4 format and we have a great solution for you. There are tons of different video formats out there and it’s always a guessing game when trying to download the right files online. I went out to get a solution for our “picky” iOS device and found AV Player.
You might as well call it the king of video-playing apps when it comes to iPhone or iOS devices. This app plays almost all readily used video formats and would make you fall in love with your device again. The list of supported extensions includes “XVID,AVI,WMV,RMVB,ASF,H264,MKVā¦ most of all movie file formats”. Some of the other neat features include WiFi/ USB transfer, FTP support, folder management with a passcode, the Aspect ratio of 6:9/4:3/1:1/Full screen, TV Out configuration, subtitles support, playback speed control from 0.5X to 2.0X, ability to run from the last position and most importantly 720p and 1080p video support.
Av Player is an awesome addition to your iPhone, iPad or iTouch app catalogues and WT definitely recommends it. You can download the iPad version called AV Player HD or the iPhone and iTouch version called AV Player. Search the App Store to download!
To add videos to the device simply run iTunes 9.1 or above, and navigate as follows: Device->My Device(My iPhone)->Apps, drag and drop files to the AV player’s documents.
