It does get a bit time-consuming when all of a sudden you have to leave your Windows PC and navigate to the lock icon via a few clicks OR hit ctrl + alt + delete or WIN + L. The shortcuts are handy but just in case you’re looking for something even quicker, we will review a basic shortcut which will take less than a minute to set up and lock Windows 7. Once you want to lock your computer, just click it and all is done.
How to Create A shortcut to Lock Windows 7
- Right-click on your blank desktop and select New
- Make a new shortcut
- Type in rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation
- Hit Next, enter a name and you’re done! 👌
You can also pin it to the taskbar by simply dragging it there. Whenever you feel that a lockdown is required, just hit the shortcut and that’s it! your system is locked. 🔒
