The beauty lies within the development and so on. Motorola Xoom, one popular tablet of this year gets some serious updates from developers. As most of us know that Xoom recieved 3.2.2 Over The Air update some days ago and finally developers at XDA have made some modifications which are unique in their own way. This article is a quick guide based news regarding root of updated Xoom. Developers have created stock images that can be applied to any Xoom device regardless of their model or region. Some of the Xoom devices have been upgraded to 4G hardware while some are still surviving the Wi-Fi only versions. (for regions like Canada). And the devices which haven’t been upgraded as of yet would only have their Wi-Fi working.
Note: Make sure to backup everything, anything before following the procedure and performing a quick root. No one is liable for any kind of data / information you might lose if device is bricked or other wise.
1. Download the ROM (click here).
2. Mount it on the SD Card
3. Restart your device, and get into recovery. (Press Power to turn your device on, as soon as the Dual Core boot screen appears, press Volume Down again and again, till Android Recovery is displayed. Press Volume Up to enter Recovery)
4. Create a Nandroid backup.
5. Do factory reset from recovery menu.
6. Install the downloaded ROM (zip file) from the menu.
7. Reboot device and you’re rooted.
